Nissan Titan Frozen Rotors Power Slot Rotors

Hard to believe it's been 80,000 miles since I put the original Powerslot Rotors on the front of the 04 Titan and over 140,000 miles since she was new. I never did have to replace the pads or rotors on the back but this time they too are getting the Power Slot treatment.

The last brake job was the regular Power Slot Rotors and Carbotech Bobcat Brake pads Carbotech Bobcat Brake Pads and Powerslot Rotor Review.

This time around I'm going with the Cryo treated Powerslot Rotors from FrozenRotors.com and StopTech Street Performance Brake Pads I got from Autoanything.com.

The regular rotors as you can tell (80,000 miles) held up extremely well for a part of the country where there is extreme hi and low tempertures, road salt and lots of dirt since I live on a dirt road.

These new Rotors from Frozen Rotos.com are processed with "Frozen Rotors" proprietary 60-hour cryogenic process to create a Power Slot rotor that has a distinct advantage in tensile strength, abrasive wear resistance and rotor longevity. (We shall see)

POWER SLOT
Along with the benefits of cryo-processing, Power Slot rotors are CNC machined to application specific tolerances that utilize a patent pending tapered-slot technology to create a vent for dust and pad gases while preserving rotor strength.

The slot designs of Power Slot rotors are angled to use the rotors\' direction of rotation to enhance performance. This makes them side specific with left side (driver\'s) and right side (passenger\'s) rotors.

Power Slot Brake Rotors are coated with black Electrocoating (E-coating) finish, an electrostatically applied finish is designed to withstand 400 hours of saltwater exposure without rusting and provides long lasting corrosion protection in the critical hat and cooling vane areas.

That is kewl! Especially the part about the rust protection. When I used to live in the upper midwest, my brakes would always squeak and groan first thing in the morning. When I had it checked the mechanic said it was due to surface rust forming overnight! Surface rust forming overnight!
