Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10 Review

I've been researching tires for my 1 ton truck for a while now with the following requirements:

10 ply LT tire
Semi aggressive tread since I live out in the country and I spend have my life offroad in the muck.
Quiet on the highway with uncompromised high speed and braking characteristics along with outstanding wet, snow and ice behavior.

What I ended up ordering is 2 of the Hankook (Korean) Dynapro ATM RF10 to try on the front of my 3500 before shelling out the $$ for 6. So I order them on a Sunday from Discount Tires Direct for $328 for 2 LT235/80R17E1 12R W with free shipping and had them sent directly to the installer where they arrived on Tuesday. On Wednesday I took the wheels in and they were mounted and balanced for $48 including metal valve stems. Wednesday night I drove them 136 miles and I fell in love. Quiet, ride great, corner as well or better then the OEM Generals, and did I tell ya they ARE QUIET. Last night it rained so I went for a drive and hit every puddle I could and they handled the water like a champ both deep in town gutter puddles and deep Kansas highway tire grooves at up to 90 MPH.

I've decided to order the other 4 with the big and most important tests to come. Towing, mud, snow, ice behavior and combinations of all 4. I'm also going to order a set for the Queens Titan but on black 18" wheels so I can put the Stillen Big Brake setup on her truck. (The first pic shows the OEM Bridgestone that I finally got around to having the Valve Stem replaced on.)

I also included the Hankook tire data PDF for your review.

Sounds like a good tire for the 1T. After you have them mounted on the Titan, give us a nice ride report. Do you plan to mount LT tires on the Titan or are you going with P series?

I put LT tires on my Titan about a month ago and I love em !

Although, I chose the Laramie "Trail Cutter Radial AT" LT tire.

Plus, now I run tire pressure so much higher then the sensors that in cooler weather I don't have worry about the alarm going off.....

LT, the price is reasonable compared to the other brands that most people run on their Titans and she's got to go where I do because I tend to get myself stuck at times.

Tell me about it. And when they only last 60,000 miles and you drive over 40,000 a year it seems like all I do is buy tires and change the oil.

It was even worse for my motorcycle tires. They are Z rated and generally only last 8 or 9K miles. Oh, and at least $280 a set plus $40 plus for mount and balance.
