After replacing a dead battery in my Titan, i experienced the AT light come on the dash read out. My tranny shifts hard into reverse and will hardly roll forward in my front yard. I have not driven my truck for 5 days due to the dead battery and now the tranny problem. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem? My truck had no problems before the battery. Im thinking it may be either a fuse or electrical problem.

I had the same thing happen to me on a couple of occasions, when you first noticed this did you try and turn the truck off, let it sit for a few minutes and try and crank it back up? I did this with mine and the A/T light went off and the truck operated fine. I went ahead and took it to the dealer to have it looked at to see if it did any damage, and the tech stated that I must have shifted into gear too soon and had the ECU confused so it went into shut-down mode. On the second occasion, the truck had somewhat of a slip in the transmission while I was going through a long stretch of straight road. I shifted into Neutral and turned off the truck then cranked it back up and put the tranny back into drive. Drove fine down the highway but as soon as I came to a stop, it would barely move.
