My father-in-law has ran across a deal on a 5th Wheel Travel Trailer and he was wanting me to do some checking around and see about getting on installed on his Titan. Anybody had any personal experience with these? Figured that I'd test the waters before I got to envolved in a search.

I've used a system like that and it works great and easy to install yourself.

Looks to be amart solution to using the bed to tow and use for utility. Some cautions are needed to ensure there is adquate clearance for tifth wheel trailer or goose neck trailer. With the short bed of the Titan's caution must be taken to ensure there is room to pivot.

Also pay close attention to weights (its a i/2 ton remember!)

I used it for a Goose Neck stock trailer. There are better solutions for a true fith wheel like a travel trailer.

I fully agree Red. I asked him to go and take a look at the TT and get weights on it and to pull underneath it just to check for clearances. I just wouldn't feel comfortable pulling a 5th wheel / Gooseneck with the Titan. To me that's 3/4 ton territory, but it's him and his truck. He's pretty hard headed, once he gets something in his mind it's going to happen.
