Folks, the latest issue of Trailer Life contains a booklet titled "2007 Guide to Towing".

This is an excellent general reference to towing. It covers subjects such as weight ratings, hitches, brake controllers and other subjects.

Pick up a copy at your local magazine stand and get a bunch of good info.

awww, come on Squid .... you know that your dad is "old school" ...... he'll just drop the trailer onto the 2" ball bolted to his step bumper and drag it away ..... lights and trailer brakes optional ...... heck, that's the only way to go ..... all that trailer towing crap that they're comming up with is only adding to the "Pussification of the American Man" ...... I'll bet Rodger Decoster wouldn't fall for any of that bull.

I should have taken a pic of this Cardinal 5th wheel they pull with their late 90's dodge V10 3/4 ton pickup. The trailer is so huge it makes the truck look like a compact and I'm sure that if I read the manual they probably would recommend a 1 ton dually for it. (My dad was griping about blowing 2 tires on the truck.)
