Ok, I've changed my oil plenty of times, and have never used one of those... If you have used oil, then take it to O'Reily... i'm willing to bet they would take this too. Sorry, I know this isn't much of any help at all, but, I seriously have never used one of those before.

Well, the adapter plate screws on in place of the Titan's oil filter. The bracket with the two remote filters needs to mount in the engine compartment within the range of the provided hoses. Make sure they mount level and have enough room below them to remove the filters. If the hoses are too short, you can buy longer ones at almost any hydraulic hose shop. As far as the electrical connection on the unit you show, I don't know its purpose.

Don't they give you a vehicle specific mounting location on their website? Hard to tell how big they are, but seems like you would want them up where you can access them easily ... part of the benefit of a remote filter.

Probably the pre charge oiler, or whatever it is called, (my internet access is crawling and I can't load Amsoil.com right now), would be a better thing for most vehicles, because of todays higher quality of the standard oils and filters.

The pre charge oilers pump oil through the engine before it will start, and supposedly these cold/dry starts is where the most wear occurs. But you do have to wait, something like 60 seconds, before you can start the engine. Not good if you're a volunteer fireman, or a group of Ford guys are chasing you out of a bar to kick your arse, because they recognize you as the guy with that Titan that's always wooping their 150's butt.

Yeah that's an add on pump for preoiling. I would have bought one but they are holy crap expensive.

By pass oil system were the thing back in the day when oil, filters and cooling systems sucked and still are used on diesels but I'm lost on the need for one on a non commercial vehicle. So are you planning on going 100,000,000 miles between oil changes?
