from what i've read in some other article, the benefits of CVT aside from a smooth surge of power sans the shifts, is the number of actual parts within the CVT itself, that being half of what's in a normal tranny! couldn't believe it, but the new Sentras have CVT in them as well! i wouldn't mind having CVT in my Titan but they'll need to resolve the lack of towing capacity a CVT tranny can handle.
btw sQuiddly, can you believe that Mercedes and Lexus have 8spd transmissions in their luxury cars now? good god, and i thought 5spd was the sh!t... 
pretty soon we'll have 10spd transmissions, then a 12spd, then a 24spd, then a... |
