Sounds like Free to air sat. broadcasting. You can get reciever boxes on eBay that will allow you to pick up unencrypted sat. transmissions. Looks like someone just came up with a way to sling them over the internet, and make a few bucks from it....

*edit* that site itself looks like something set up by spammers....

So has anyone here downloaded the software and is using it? IDK, seems weird, $300.00 but you only pay $40.00....and of course my Mac doesn't support this?

Although they claim to be 100% legal, I think I'd check on the legality first, with maybe the FCC or FBI ... wouldn't want to be a guinea pig in a Federal Prison.

Even if it's is legal, I sure don't want channels from 78 countries, including:

• Egypt State Channel that shows programming directly from the Egyptian Government!
• Aljazeera TV from Iran which shows the Iraq war live and uncensored!
• Vietnam HDTV!
• Venezuela TV, which is controlled by Hugo Chavez!
• Cubavision from Cuba!

Especially in these languages:
Spanish, German, Arabic, French, Italian, Russian, Dutch and more.

But this could definitely be just a credit card theft ring.

I'm guessing in this case, that's exactly what's going on.... but you can check out the free-to-air sateliite broadcasting if you are thinking about cutting the cord to Comcast or whatever the local Monopoly is...

I've been a DirecTV customer since they first went on the air. I've paid a lot of dues, excuse me fees in those years. So when I saw this site on Gizmag, I thought it worth looking at. Like you guys, I'm leery of things that are too cheap to be real. So, I posted the URL for comment.

Doubt I'll bite though.
