NavMan with Navpics

http://www.navman.com/Navman/templat...e____6313.aspx

For those of you that do a lot of traveling this might be right up your alley.

Quote:
Navman is the world's first image-based navigation system. Available exclusively on the Navman N20, N40i and N60i and the earlier iCN 700 Series, NavPix is quick and easy to use, and goes beyond just simplifying navigation. As well as finding destinations using addresses and postcodes, with NavPix, you can now navigate to pictures.

The N60I is $549 (at the top of the line) but if you include the fact that it's also a camera and portable and usable world wide it might be a great deal for someone that travels a lot.

I've always been leery of devices that contain too many functions. The problem in my mind is that if one fails the chances that all are compromised in increased.

So you go on a trip and not only does your GPS, go South (Pun Intended), but your camera and MP3 player. Puts a real dent in your vacation.

Also, in multiple devices like this they are all compromises, none are the best of any category.

You do save some money over multiple individual devices, with the above mentioned compromises.
