DRE questions

I have had my Dre's on for two days now, had new tires put on that were stock size, but it keeps running out of alignment about every ten miles. Anyone else have this problem, for some reason I seriously doubt it is the coil overs.

So you're having to get a front end alignment every 10 miles?

Can you be a little more specific? Dre's I'm assuming your talking about Donahoe Racing Coilovers.... And what do you mean about running out of alignment. I'm in the automotive business and Alignment is my specialty. So if you have a question about alignment be specific and I'll do my best to answer your questions. Getting back to the DR's, if you put them on your truck, regardless of tire size, you should get your truck's alignment check and readjusted as necessary. If everything is tight, your alignment will not just go out of adjustment every 10 miles, unless you drive like Hooli and floor it over every whoop you can find .... Anywho hope this helps and like I said if you need any other info. on alignment just ask. BTW I also run DR's and did have a clunk and squeek noise coming out of them, that ended up being the seals on the pistons (too tight). And in the last couple of days, my truck started to make noise again. I thought it was in the drivetrain, but the dealer said coilovers. I'll have to put it up on a rack myself and check it out next week.

There ain't no mud in Cali, that's why members like hooli are so irritable when you hear from them. Just driving around in circles eating each others dust. Have you ever watched any of their Vids?

Yeah, remember I live in So. Cal. also... The mud comes into play every few years when el nino hits.... Other than that your right, just nasty clouds of dust with a lot of wind in the desert.... It especially sux when your dirt bike riding and can't see anything when the wind kicks up out in the flatlands or deserts....

MUD = slow and BORING

watching a truck or jeep churn brown butter getting itself out is about as boring as watching the Amish having sex.

hehe.... I love the twist this thread took......

for the poster of the thread.....as long as the coilovers aren't broken (as is visibly broken), really don't think DRs could mess with alignment

definitely could be, the springs settle over a period of time and that alone could be affecting the camber. doubt it would be affecting toe, but who knows... i'd allow the coilovers time to settle, say a month or so, sooo after a month (and don't baby them) get your alignment redone and recheck accordingly.
