I've got a question. Why do all the photos I have posted in the gallery, have "TitanTruckz.com" printed on them??

I took them and posted them, so why does it seem that the site is now showing ownership of my photos?

Now I realize that I'm credited in the album, and on captions below with picture descriptions, data, etc. but why does the site mess up my photos that way??

Wow! It's done that way so other sites/people can't take credit for them. If you don't like it delete them. It's not like it's some sort of conspiracy to steal your photos but quite the opposite, it lets people know where they came from and stops them from calling them their own because all I have to do get it is right click, copy the property and whala!

Yes, for instance if I were to link that photo to another site.... say.... sport touring bikes.com... you would see the TTz stamp on it.

Wow guys. Seemed like a fair enough question.

One can always watermark their own photos if they are worried about theft. Not that it does any good anyway. Mine had a TT watermark and was used on another site, and just the other day I saw several here with a business's watermark on them.

All I asked was a question. Yes SD, I'm always up late. Or early to your way of thinking. I am a night person.

And you can see, I do care about ownership. Of the words I write and the photos I take. I'm always respectful of the quotes I use when I write posts and always fair to attribute them to their rightful sources. It is important to me to protect my intellectual property just as I seek to protect yours. To my mind it is a fair question.

If my attitude is objectionable, let me know. Sure this is being testy. I guess that's just my nature.

I wasn't upset just giving him his answer and also letting him know that if he thought the Photo Gallery Watermark had ruined his Pictures he was free to remove them, it's as simple as that. I like the fact that when I Google pictures if mine come up people are directed to this site to see the rest of them but hey! I'm a dufus............

It wasn't extreme but it is the way your responses are often to people with questions and suggestions. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered alone, but with the additional comment by SD, I could see him thinking ... this really sucks.

but asking why does site take ownership of 'my photos' ... why does the site 'mess up my photos that way' ... they may be fair questions but for a moderator to ask just seemed to come off a bit rhetorical and grumpy-ish so I just had fun with it, if you want to use your photos on the internet elsewhere there are tons of photo hosting sites that do not add watermarks .................................. ah, who cares.......

I know, and wasn't blaming you, but stating your comment didn't help the situation. Again not your fault. You were not the cause, but helped contribute to one of the remaining good things about this site ... at the very least reducing his visitation, but most likely leaving.

Hey maybe you can be the replacement mod?
