Sorry to be long winded, but I had taken notes on the back of the invoice and figured I'd post all the info that I had.
How's the K&N doing...cleaned lately/ever?....that might be the culprit.

It's hanging in there. I usually clean it every 8 to 10k miles. Probably due for a good cleaning. I have noticed that when I have cleaned it in the past the mileage is no better or worse. I think I'm gonna try and clean my MAF sensor with some spray cleaner from Autozone sometime once it warms up. Maybe it's dirty and the air fuel mix is getting off. Dunno.

Inspect the sensor and wipe it with a clean cloth to see what comes off before you spray it. I've never sprayed mine.
How about spark plugs....have you changed the OEM originals?..if not I bet that's the culprit.
If you do change them take a pic. so we can see.....and number/log which cylinders they came out of.

Found this on a Titan forum:

came "factory pre-oiled". so i decided to take a look at my other 4 cars with also just the filter. i got my fiber-optic camera/flashlight, took apart some stuff, and sure enough... i saw blackish, oily resudie... not just the regular grime and engie buildup. this is INSIDE the throttle body, with very visible signs on the sensors and throttle body spacer.

has anyone else had this issue? i dont want to bad mouth K&N, abosultely not (forum rules abiding), but i want to know if i may have had 5 defective filters, or is this common and i shouldn't worry about it?

thanks, "

Some folks are cleaning the MAF/Sensors every time they clean the K&N due to findings like this. Not sure if they didn't wait long enough for the oil to dry properly or if it's the nature of the "Wet Oil Filter".
I'm going to take the throttle body apart and inspect it next!...What the heck at almost 72K and mostly with the same Amsoil dry nano-fiber filter.
