Just ran out for cigs and now I am getting an odd noise from the front diff too, kind of a strange whine, I wonder if shifting in and out of 4x4 on the fly caused this?

somethin' definitely jacked. shifting on the fly shouldn't have caused it as i know several of the 4x4 guys out here have done it offroading without a hiccup or problems later on...

I didn't think this should cause this, but the only time I engage 4x4 is when we have plenty of snow, I am not dumb enough to blow it out running on dry ground, even parking I disengage 4x4 just to keep the stress low. I was just a major bummer ya know. My buddy just bought an Xterra tonight because I sat here and bragged so long about the mighty nissan. Gonna suck not having the titan around for a few days, I do not much care for the girls camaro on snowy roads. Course I could go grab the land rover that has not been driven, but I really have not touched it sense mom died.
