you'll eventually need to when you get that MT kit with the shock hoops...

but till then your kid-loving coilovers will exceed your performance needs, but definitely get some 2.0 SAWs Airbumps!!!!

greg was saying the airbumps would have helped lessen the damage i sustained.

yeah, as SD posted... the kit comes with new Upper Control Arms and new Lower control arms. just with the UCAs you can make a choice between tubular uppers (cheaper and the only choice if you choose to go with a shock hoop in the future) and boxed uppers like the boxed lowers.

see tubed uppers and boxed lowers in pic...

and here, see boxed uppers and boxed lowers... *prior to being powdercoated...

the shock hoop is welded in place to replace the existing portion of the frame the "coilbucket" to intentionally move the point in which the shock/coilover mounts to. in many cases a shock hoop is used to allow the use of a longer shock/coilover or a multiple dampening purpose, i.e. 2 shocks or 2 coilovers or a coilover/bypass shock combo, etc.

in this pic, you'll see the shock hoop and look carefully at the welds, where the coilbucket was cut, and the spring collar on the coilover to give an idea of where the coilbucket was at and the difference of where the mounting point is NOW versus where it originally was. this allows for additional travel and that much more dampening in a longer coilover. this shock hoop is what PRG designed and has made that he sells.

and look at PRG's own custom set-up on his titan, this shock hoop he designed specifically for the use of a bypass shock inconjunction with a coilover spring. this is not what he's got for sale, this of course is totally customized to his wants. this setup alone, just in the front, costs more than 7 grand, consider the bypass shocks a piece are $1500. but this gives you an idea of what a shock hoop does.

and of course the forever badass 03 CST Titan... another completely custom set-up...
