Here is an article from MSNBC on the Tundra, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15319160/
The most interesting thing to me was at the bottom of the article where the author said the Tundra would have 381 HP. No Torque figures were given. If the HP #'s are accurate, I Will be looking forward to driving one.

The new Tundra is now fully in the pool and has what it needs to go head to head with Detroit. An all-new 5.7-liter V8 vaults the Toyota to the upper reaches of the performance charts, with a maximum tow rating north of 10,000 pounds. Three engines, three cabs and at least two bed lengths and wheelbases blanket the work-truck and personal-use spectrum with more than 30 different models. Those cabs are now a full 4 inches wider inside than the outgoing model, while the whole truck now sits among the segment leaders in overall size.
Looks like it'll have to have some umpf for a 10,000 LBS tow rating.

...back to the Tundy, what exactly constitutes "significant"....shaking up a particular segment?

i for one think the new Tundra is ugly. it could have 450hp and 500lbs/ft torque but you don't see me getting in line for one. plus, you know the new Tundra is going to be nowhere near as much of a value as a Titan. more bang for you buck in a Titan... so long as you've got an extended warranty on the Titan though... dohhh!!!

I agree that the newer Tundra's are hard to look at .... my step-dad's 2002 black 4x4 is a good looking truck .... a little weak under the hood, but a darn nice truck ..... I'd probably have one now had they not been so dang expensive ..... and to think that ya'll would have never heard of Mr.B ..... yep, ya'll own an extrodinary "thank you" to Toyotas pricing dept.

My next "Fossil Fueled Chariot" is going to be a hybrid 4x4...
not sure if NISSAN will get one out faster than Toyota...
so most likely I'll get the YO........and as far as first year goes I'd feel more confident in a YO than the NAN.
My T100 gave me 6 great years of work/service and I still wonder why I sold it?!!
But never say never....maybe NISSAN will get it together soon!!
