I have only had my Titan for 17 month and have just a tick over 20,000 miles. Absolutely no issues with mine. Every auto manufacturer is going to put out a bad vehicle once in a while. Toyota, Nissan, Dodge, Ford, it doesn't matter. New or used every vehicle purchase is a roll of the dice.

Nice find Hooli. But like I've said 10,000 times before, except for the front brake judder issue on the 05, which was fixed under warranty, (and has not returned), I've had zero problems with either of my Titans!
In fact, I STILL don't know why they never really caught on......... Guess I'm just a dumb a$$

It's because Nissan doesn't have a marketing dept.

Yup... It's all in the marketing! If Nissan kept at it after the first year they would have had much higher sales then they ended up with. Their commercial were pretty good when they first came out, much like Toyotas are now but they just stopped in 05.

I think once the brake issue started and the news started to roll they just rolled over and gave up. I could be mistaken, but did Nissan have any "real" manufacturing issues where they had to recall so many cars? I don't think so and they didn't know what to do initially. I thought they did an ok job but they certainly didn't have the best of plans as this kind of dragged out until the brakes were finally available.

It sucks but it ain't gonna change and now that gas has sky-rocketed, the mighty Titan will fade away. It's going to be all about the smaller cars and truck for awhile much like the 70's.

i honestly don't know wtf Nissan is doing. someone in charge must really be fickle and continually keeps changing his/her mind. they start a project and don't follow thru to continually improve upon. rather they give up or so it seems. Nissan execs are idiots! no marketing, pull design group and headquarters out of so cal, pull out of all north american race programs, wtf are they doing? ghosn is a joke! anyhew, my titan will soon be the once in a blue moon driven weekend truck as the need to invest in a more affordable mode of transportation is needed. gas isn't coming down, not now, not anytime soon and nowhere in the near future. 5 bucks a gallon is right around the corner.

On a slightly different note, did any of you read the piece about Mercedes Benz dumping gasoline as a fuel by ~2015. If I remember right, they're going to fuel cells and hybrids.........

Toyota is also offering more options, which IMO is what killed Nissan's sales.

Truck buyers were used to being able to get "a la cart" any option on the truck they wanted... which isn't hard to do when you are Ford moving thousands and thousands of units. Then the price of the truck probably put people off. Nissan's small trucks used to be the cheap ones you could get that would run forever.

Toyota went a different route, started small, and built up to the Tundra.
