Yeah, its a tough decision. I have to admit that, in my core, I'm not really at heart a truck guy. I bought it because my plans at the time revolved around a travel trailer. But I'm the world's second best procrastinator. I'd be number one if I could get around to it. So I still haven't bought a trailer yet despite going to a million RV shows.

I think I'm more of a sports sedan type. So I'm looking. But I have to make sure the finances work for me.

Anyone have any good or bad comments on the Altima Coupe 3.5? Or the Maxima?

LMAO!

I hear ya Rojo.........I'm the opposite now....I was a truck guy with an ole hardbody that I loved and friends who all had trucks, then a car guy with an Altima and an 01 Eclipse, then back to truck guy and with a family now, I couldn't leave the truck....never. It's just way too handy for me.....beach, camping, my new mtn bike (), off-road race spectating, etc, truck is much too useful for this gas thing to force me to leave 'er behind.......

Where we may compromise is on our 'second' car or the Xterra, but later on down the road. This gas situation will definitely affect my use of the truck though, it has already..........

Might just buy my brother's R6 off him and use that to get around once truck is paid off, he hardly uses it anyhew

The "End of the Titan" title of this thread can say it any better for me. I drove my Titan for the 1st time in 3 months yesterday to return it because the lease was up. I wasn't able to sell it for the same reason I bought a 'Burb from the states...cheap imported titans drove down the price of used Titans over the last 4 months. So my titan is now GONE. I will have to admit that the final drive showed me that Nissan engineering is much better than GM, but I just needed the extra room of the 'Burb over the Armada.

When it is all said and done, when I go looking for a truck in 3 years (which I will), it will NOT be the Titan because I refuse to buy anything made by Chrysler! (Sorry Squid!)I have had 1st hand experiences with their lack of quality and I won't go back there. After having a GM for 3 months, I think a new Tundra will probably be my 1st choice, although lots can happen between now and then.

Don't apologize to me. I bought the best Heavy Duty truck engine and transmission package on the market which just happens to be wrapped in a Dodge body. But I will tell you after 17,000 miles I'm digging it the damn thing will corner just as good as the Titan which floors me and everyone behind me for a truck this size. I've only been to the Service department twice for a couple of re-flashes and now that I got my programmer I'm getting 16 MPG, just a little less then the Titan and I've got 4.10 limited slip gears and she's a 4x4 and not even broke in yet.

Well, I've been doing some test driving of possible replacements to my Titan, IF, and I say IF, I sell my Titan.

Hyundai Azera and Sonata. There are two V6 engines available as well as an L4. If I was truly committed to reducing my gas expenditure over performance, I'd choose the L4. But I'm not committed. I drove both cars with the 3.3L V6. Excellent performance in both. The Sonata is very nice and sized similar to a last Generation Honda Accord. Far better performance with the V6 obviously, and fit and finish on a par with Honda. Its hard to ignore the factory 10yr/100Kmi powertrain warranty, 5yr/60Kmi new vehicle warranty, 7yr unlimited mile rust-through warranty, and 5yr/unlimited mile roadside assistance all standard! Those warranties alone would save me $1300 compared to my Titan purchase. All industry claims are to the rising quality of Hyundai autos. Complete 5Star crash protection is the Cherry on top. And another great point is that it is $10,000 less than listed Altima prices for similar equipment level!!

In coming days, I plan on test rides in Altima Coupe and Honda Accords and maybe even Toyota Avalon.

Yudai have made a remarkable stand in the market the last 10 years. all thanks to one of Nissan's execs (responsible for Nissan's resurgence) jumping ship and taking over the flailing Hyundai. he changed everything and what you see now is the result of his hard work and wise decisions. Hyundais are excellent cars and no doubt the fit and finish are excellent. friend of mine had one of the small sporty 4cylinder gt models and i was blown away at how well the car was put together and the performance it yielded. can't go wrong with a Hyundai and their impeccable warranties nowadays. and cost alone are much better than toyota, honda, etc...

I like um. You see them every where and the Queen and I drove one thinking that it might be a great run about a couple of years ago. Beat the heck out of the Rav4 and cheaper then the Murano even though both Toyota (Venza later this year) and Nissan (Rogue, CVT and 28 MPG as reported by the owners) have entered the Crossover market with the same size vehicles.

I agree 10000%, Hyundai has probably made THE most remarkable turn-around as far as quality and value. Perceived value has been tougher to gain but they have made strides in that as well and as long as people are open-minded about taking a look at them, like Mr. , they will continue to do well since they don't have a fleet of gas guzzlers like GM and all the rest to bring them down..........

dayum, I'll never forget the Hyundai Excel my folks purchased when they decided to go frugal a loong time ago late 80s/early 90s or so, it was an absolute piece of sh!t......awful awful awful car, nothing but the price sold those large go-carts........my mother was in a minor accident in the piece of sh!t whilst in a blizzard in the Windy City and the thing crumpled like an aluminum can, good thing she wasn't too badly hurt but good thing we were able to get rid of the POS.........

anyhew, good luck with the search Red. Please report back on the comparos....
