true. true. glorified road queens targeted to a different crowd that isn't as bling-bling oriented but still wants to look and act cool.......it's still interesting as hell to me though.....

well, we have yet to see the finished product so who's to say the Raptor isn't gonna be draped with Fox Racing logos and some special paint scheme to blend in with the Fox theme, much like say... the Roush F150 or Harley Davidson F150 or King Ranch F-series trucks. and to top it off, say Ford slaps chrome simulated bead-lock wheels on it? but heck yeah, its interesting. obviously with Ford in the red, it is quite the leap for them to be target-specifying the build of this truck. makes no sense, but is cool that they would go forward with this project. as you've said before, definitely thinking outside the proverbial box. who knows, they may start at 30k and sell like hotcakes... say 1200 units of raptors would be a pretty good success for a limited run of Raptors... they'd develop a lore much like the Lightning.

hear ya with the Fox logos being everywhere......you know they aren't just going to sell Ferd a bunch of C/Os and not want their name all over the place ..... you're right though, the market for such a truck would be miniscule compared to the number of F1Fattys sold ...... Roush, HD, or King Ranch trucks could sell anywhere. Don't think there would be any of these sold in Squish's neck o' da woods, for example.....

interesting though if its going to be a 4wd or 2wd Prerunner. perhaps if its 4wd it would perhaps sell better for those that think 4wd is the only way a truck should be built.

me too, just wish we had some specs on it. how much travel? shock diameters? coilovers? trailing arms? rear-link system? airbumps? or some run of the mill f1fitty with a few components tweaked to yield double the travel of oem with sealed generic shocks with fox stickers on them...

I'd bet by the time it comes out it wont have much more travel if any over the stock ones, ford has had some neat ideas, they just don't ever seem to have the gumption for the follow through.
