I had a feeling with the aging boomer crowd that these would take off. I personally would have to ride one before making a firm decision but after riding on two wheels since I was 5 I'm not sure if I'd go this route if and when I'm unable to ride my 2 wheel bikes. With that said, I do think for people like the Queen who how should we say " are not very stable on their feet" this is a great way to get them off the back of your bike and on their own which as anyone who rides knows, will be very empowering for them not to mention a blast!

I'm worried that there will be an increase of aging riders who now feel that they can join motorcycling and ride for the first time. They will mistakenly think that they are much safer on a 3 wheeler.

I'm 60 myself, and I'm concerned with my decreasing reaction times, compromised situational awareness at times; just general aging issues. I've been riding for nearly 40 years and have developed during my nearly 200,000 road miles a significant amount of experience and skills to match. Now I know I'm not the best rider out there but it concerns me that folks my age and NEW to the sport are going to jump on and just go ride. Having two wheels in front only means you don't tip over as easily; you are still subject to all the scenarios two wheelers face and you don't learn those in a cage.

Time will tell. In my case, when in the coming years I find myself unable to safely ride, I'll sell my bikes and buy a nice sport car. Then it will be time for a new phase in my life. I'll be able to look back at bikes and say "Been there, done that. Got the T-Shirt!"

it's unfortunate when others can't come to the same realization.......

Trikes are neat for what they are, just not my thing. When I get were I'm not too steady, I'll get a sidecar.
