This seems like penis envy...but yours is truck envy.

You know you want that smoke one down the road...lol

As for the cams....nothing that we didnt go through with Nissan and the rears, breaks, and now the transfer cases are blowing right and left. TitanSE05, JT's truck, and now RedtitanLE...al with less than 30k on the trucks. Elisas only has 9k.

20-50 effective trucks out of 30k isnt a reason for panic.

Ohh....and my truck with the added weight will smoke your truck. Time for you to get that SC.....but you might blow your pistons with that so be careful.

Oh....and my back seat reclines and the WHOLE window rolls down with the push of a little button.

Dont be sad. Your truck still looks hot.

Here is an email I received from TMS today about the cams.

A correction was immediately implemented, and we are working to ensure customer satisfaction and confidence in the product by those owners who did experience the failure by replacing the engine.

That's about as sensational as it gets for this story, albeit make no mistake that we are embarrassed by this incident and regret any concerns, worry, even anger experienced by those customers whose engines did fail.

Toyota conducts a very thorough investigation of production anomalies that result in any kind of product performance problem. That's underway now. Once concluded, tmsusa will be happy to report to interested members here any additional information that may be of interest to our customers and other consumers

As I've stated before the American public is willing to accept just about anything if there is honesty and the company is "up front" about problems and solutions.

Austin was telling me that the very first Tundra (the previous model) as a group had brake problems on some of the first years production.

We all have to understand that it is a very complex task to develop a new vehicle from scratch. Market pressures, Cost constraints are just two of the issues affecting market release and quality.

Handle the problems honestly and all will be okay in the end.

couldn't agree more and yes the first generation tundra had a slew of problems so Toyota already had a base from which to build and improve on. as is the case with Nissan and us 04-06 1st gen titan goats. the 07's look so much more improved over the previous years and the changes are just subtle but many things look different and improved. kinda got me thinking of an 07 after looking at them on the lot the other day. i can only imagine how much better the 2nd gen of titans is going to be already. i'm excited just thinking about it!
