I for one am not blinded by brand loyalty. As for the Tundra being ugly...it looks much better in peron. I had the opportunity to scare a sales man today and he was begging for me to take him back to the dealership!

This truck is solid. There were a few minor things that were out of place...but nothing that I couldnt live with. I felt like i was in a cock pit while driving and was impressed with the total ride quality as well as it's launching abilities. The interior is nice...but a little on the busy side. All buttons and nobs were LARGE. Apparently designed for those guys with wearing gloves. This truck made me feel small. I drove the SR5 double cab and I believe it has just as much room as the Titans CC. I could go on and on...but i think its worth a test drive. The only reason I didnt walk away with one today...they didnt have it in black. The msrp was 32.5 for a well equiped double cab long bed, 4x4 off road package. The MSRP for my Titan was about the same. Of course with the rebates Nissan offered, I paid well under. I wont be messing with one of these trucks on the road!

At $40k to get that big V8... I'm not so sure we'll see many around for at least a few years.

I dunno, Steves .... I see a heck of a bunch more "top of the line" trucks on the road than cheapie trucks like mine ..... and it pis*es me off too!

I, like Chicks, am not brand loyal to anything mechanical .... be it appliances, TV's, tools, motorcycles, cars or trucks .... I've owned 2 Fords, 1 Chevy, 1 Dodge, 1 Toyota and just happen to own a Nissan now ... and that's just the trucks that's been in my life .... I buy whatever I think is the "best bang for the buck" at the time I'm in the market for a vehicle .... I REALLY, REALLY like my step-dads' 2002 black Tundra 4X4 .... it cost $35k .... and I also like my dads' 2005 Ford F-150 4 door with the Retrax ... it too was over $30k .... I love my Titan the most ... it was $17,998 .... plus tax.

You can get out a lot cheaper than 40K for a Tundra with the 5.7.
My dealer quoted me 39K for a 4X4 Double Cab Limited 5.7.
With tow package, TRD, cold package, front/rear sonar, mud flaps, fender flares. Plus I haven't started to negotiate.
So you can get the 5.7 fore less than 40k, especially if you get the regular cab.
Chicks, when you said that you drove the long bed double cab, did it have the 8'bed?
