thank god, none red. and that was just one of the many jumps and certainly not the biggest one i launched. the camera guy put his camera away on my biggest jump of the day. i was somewhat bummed. oh well. well, turned out i bent my driver-side lower shock mount on the axle.

you can see how its deformed. these oem shock mounts are pathetically thin...






then i had them replaced the next day by my fabricator with some stout 1/4" steel plate shock mounts on both sides! also had them extended by a 1/2" for a bit more travel and fully boxed. gotta love them beads!

its been fun, dishing out the pounding and finding those little things that can't hold up to the abuse and replacing them with much stouter pieces for increased strength. gonna get a PRG long-travel leafspring kit for the rear to push the pathetic 10"s of rear-wheel travel we have to 21"s of rear wheel travel!!

nah, i take it to a guy in vista, ca... only minutes away. he's the one of the team mechanics for Pflueger Racing YouTube - Pflueger Racing

he and greg speak the same language. he knows his sh!t. speaks the same language as greg does when it comes to suspension as well. gonna get greg's rear leaf long travel kit and have my guy do the install/fab work to retrofit everything on the rear.

Ya gotta expect those little bits and bobs to fall off. Nothing in the Nissan Literature says this is a race truck. It wasn't ever designed for your level of use/abuse. Glad you are getting them replaced by tougher bits.

very true, not very many trucks period withstand the abuse. have seen toyotas, chevys, fords, dodges, mazdas, etc. with much worse damage. but in no way is my truck a race truck, lol... just a fun prerunning trail truck constantly being built to take the abuse to another level. a forever work in progress.

btw, here's a race truck... mine is in no way even close to the level of this truck. this is one of the best 1400 class trucks in this desert race class and one of many that Greg has done ALL the suspension valving for... check it out!
