Still doesn't look like much but it is coming along. I'm still on track for the January heating and air install and the pics are pretty self explanatory.

Oh! The first picture is a fancy dancy power driver that I've had for over a year but never used and let me tell you if you wnat to fasten something into concrete this is it. It uses a .22 load to drive a nail and man is it cool.

I've always wanted to have a reason to use one of those suckers!

One of my friends is an electrician, and apparently used one of those to go after a colony of mice in a crawl space!

Well after a couple of days and a major Doh! I've just about got the door installed. The framing is 2x6 and most people who have ever done any framing know that a 2x is actually 1 3/4 inchs thick right? Well I found out the hard way that when it comes to 2X6's that's not true they are 1 1/2 inches thick which really screws up your opening (It ends up being 1/2 long er than expected) so I ended up having to take a day out to go get rough sawn ceder for the framing which is 1 3/4" thick.

Today we had 45 mile an hour winds so I took the day off (had to go get a door brace for the opener any way.) and I'll finish installing the opener and move on to the siding replacement and then the exterior sliding (Norm) barn door that will hide the sliding glass door from looky lous that happen to come by.

So 10 days ago I was just getting the garage door installed and this is what she looks like today. I have to stop with the siding until the frame for the sliding barn door I purchased from National arrives. http://www.natman.com/prodinfo_subcat.asp?cat=8

I bought the hardware for the door from here http://www.betterbarns.com/Hardware.asp and I'm waiting on them also. Once I get the sliding barn door installed I'll install the sliding glass door on the interior.

So tomorrow I get to play on the roof installing all the nailing strips for the new roof down. (Of coarse it sounds worse than it is due to my Hitachi air nailers.) Te He He.

Right on schedule.
