Gas Prices

You guys have any good sites for comparing gas prices, local or national ??

I use: GasBuddy.com - Find Low Gas Prices in the USA and Canada

In my locale, I just get it at COSTCO, they are normally 10cents a gal cheaper than other stations. I could burn up more than expected savings just driving to a more distant station.

Costco here go through spurts, their cheaper for a while, and other times they are clearly more expensive.

Now that gas prices are pegging the insane meter again, I'l be back at the gasbuddy.com site again comparing prices.

I'm seriously considering buying an electric car, in addition to what I got. Go electric, then I can use my V8s when range or size are a requirement.

Same w/Cosco here. cheaper, then a little higher, then cheaper again. Arco always shows up as the cheapest, BUT, around here they want to add a $.75 charge for using your debit card.
Sooooo, I got pi$$ed off and won't go there anymore

Years ago, I bought ARCO gas a few times cause it was cheaper. However, my vehicle consistently ran like crap on ARCO gas so I've never gone back. IMO...

I'd like an electric car as well. But I looked at the numbers and I can buy and drive my gas for a lot less than the cost of another car. I'm not like many or you. I only fill up my Titan about once every 3 to 4 weeks on average. I couldn't even be able to afford another car with its payments, insurance and maintenance based on gas money saved.

Now if I didn't already own a car it would make sense for me to buy one and then rent a car if I had to do a road trip.

I understand your pain. We run a dog rescue in addition to all the fun I have at work. Rescue work is costing ~$200/week in gas alone. Fortunately for me the rescue pays for all of the expenses for the 05. I haven't been driving the 08 very much because of the price of gas. Again, I am saved because i have a company ride with personal use. Without that, I'd have to fall on my sword.
When I retire, I'll have to drag out the old rusty, trusty, reliable bicycle or take up long distance walking!

I'm in the same boat as you Red, thats why I haven't bought a new car / new electric car yet. Its cheaper for me just to buy the gas but, in the way distant future I'm thinking maybe an electric car(as an extra car) for when the gas prices spike. Then I can run around town without paying $80 to fill up.
