If memory serves me right, the Skyline is the direct predecessor of the Nissan GTR. I wonder if Nissan wants to avoid the connection of vehicles not made for the US market being in country affecting GTR history and sales?
I don't think a bunch of folks on this Forum are going to have any impact on this event.
It sounds to me like the OP should contact legal advise on the best method to pursue redress from the US Government if it is warranted.
There have been problems getting "Gray Market" products, including cars, into the US Market for eons.

It's illegal to import the skyline because it doesn't meet the safety and EPA Regs of this country. No different then the Diesel Toyota Landcruiser I wanted. I could have bought it and had it shipped to Mexico and then smuggled it across the border but when caught it would be confiscated.

So this is a waste of time and $$ to support people that want to break the law that won't be changed.
