Question Arkansas anyone?

I keep thinking that Arkansas would be a nice place for me to relocate. I've visited Mountain Home, almost on the Northern border in the center of the state. Nice lakes and rivers and near some really nice riding roads.

Has anyone lived in that area or another area of the state that recommend? I'm really interested due to the cost of living and being closer to all my family in Virginia.

Comments?

Ralph

Nice place. The Queen has family in Fayetteville and I lived in Memphis which is Tennesee but you can spit and hit Little Rock. Nice home cooked white trash kind of people who love God, Guns and Country. Clean lakes, streams and rivers and nice riding. Not too cold and not too hot..................

I've got uncles that live about an hour south of Bentonville. One moved from Cali due to cost of living and the other from Missouri. They both seem to really like it out there.

I've been through there a couple of times, years ago. I was in Ft Smith working on a project. The place seemed to be very nice...... The people were friendly and the pace of life slower than here in Phoenix

Thanks, I don't know if I need a slower pace of life as I sit here with one foot in a bucket of cement and the other stuck in quick-sand.

Red, just remembered something. If you Google "Cost of Living Calculator" you will get apps that let you compare the cost of living between locations that you specify. Don't know if you have used it, but it might be worth a try

Just about anywhere here in the heartland will be cheaper then the left coast. Unless you move to a large City like Kansas City. I've been to FT Smith and it's a nice little town and ya know Red I would think about Okla, they have a real low cost of living too.
