For my 13th birthday, I got a 1976 Yamaha YZ80c along with a yellow and black Yamaha jersey with number 1 on the back ..... above the number in large letters across the shoulders was my last name ...I also got a Green Bay Packer jersey with the number 1 and my last name from my yankee grandparents in Wisconson... then, later on in life .... back in the "Luv Ya Blue" days, I recieved a Houston Oilers jersey as a gift and it also had a large number 1 on it ...... and my last name in large letters across the shoulders ....sooooo, my question is ..... when did people start wearing jerseys with other peoples last name on them and why??? ....there ain't no way in hell that I'd have another mans name on my back....I don't get the jest of it.....can anybody assist in gettin' my thinkin' staightened out?

Basically, everybody does it because some rapper started doing it and now since rap and the hip hop "culture" is cool thats what everyone does.
I hate rap. And what kind of a culture is Hip Hop? All I get out of the culture is a bunch of Whores shakin their "laffy taffy" at the club, wearin platinum chains with "ice" in their "grill", tattos and bullet wounds, drugs, and tweny-fo inch rims on their escalade.
Yeah......great culture.
