Sitting here, having a glass of wine and started thinking: What are the worst cars the forum members have ever owned?
As for me, the list is legion, however I think the absolute worst piece of $hit I ever owned was a 1979 Chevette. Bought it new and in six months went through 6 transmissions, the driver side door leaked rain, and I had to straighten it out myself as the dealer wouldn't, the steering wheel was off center and canted, and air conditioner/heater wouldn't, and the thing was absolutely the most under powered, anemic piece of crappe' to ever roll off of anyone's assembly line.
It was so bad I WILLINGLY gave it to my exwife during our divorce. To this day, I still won't own a GM vehicle.
What is your nightmare? Maybe we can compare notes
Don't be shy, tell the truth
LOL, my high school sweetheart had a 1980 Chevette, she drove that thing like she stole it.... Good thing that car was slow cause she had a lead foot..
My worst vehicle was my 1970 Chevy pickup, that thing always had problems.

GM Rules!! The Sh*T pile, that is! My absolute worst car was a 1981 Chevy Citation. I had the 4 cyl with 4 speed manual. The clutch was prone to failure at $600 plus a pop. Mine failed 4 times in the 100K miles I was stuck with mine.
I'm like Coot, I've got standing orders among my friends to shoot me if I'm seen getting too near a GM dealer.

Hey Red, I almost bought an 81 Citation.... Thank God I didn't! At the last minute my memories from the Chevette kicked in. I bought a Mitsubishi instead and drove the thing for close to 200k miles
I bought my '83 F150 new, I had it 15yrs, and it gave me great service with very few problems. My folks bought their '84 F150 new, they had it 20yrs, and again just great service with little or no problems. I'd buy another Ford Truck.

A 1999 VW Jetta. It's the quirkiest car I've ever had. If you sneeze while in the car, the check engine light comes on. Something has to be repaired or replaced every other month. And always something different. They say there is something to be said for German engineering. I say it sucks !
