AutoCross with Titans in Eau Claire, WI

I am a member of the Chippewa Valley Sports Car Club in Eau Claire, WI. On Sunday, September 28, 2008, Chippewa Valley Sports Car Club (CVSCC) - Home/News is hosting an autocross. See link below.

Chippewa Valley Sports Car Club (CVSCC) - CVTC Grand Prix At The Bridge 2008 - Sept. 28, 2008

In the past I have raced my 2004 Titan KC 4X4 up against sports compacts along with Dodge trucks and Jeeps. Action shots below.

I have read that there has been some interest in other forums for Titan owners to get together in the WI/MN area. (I noticed that WI was not listed so I thought I would try this location. I did not want to offend the MI, IL, or IA Titan owners.)

If you are into racing, this would be something to watch or participate in. If not, it would be a good way to see what Titan owners have done to their trucks.

Here are additional shot of my Titan in action.

Hi, I've watched Autocross before, but I must say, I always associated small sedans or sports convertibles as the runners. I've never seen Pick-ups on the track.

How well does your Titan perform and what modifications have you made to enable you to compete better?

AutoCross with Titans in Eau Claire, WI

Red - my previous truck was a 1994 Nissan Hardbody 4X2, 2.4 liter, 5 spd manual. It was a sleeper and was awesome to drive and race. Due to demands from work, I had to get something bigger, which led me to the Titan. I wanted to get a 4X2 Titan, but in Wisconsin, that was impossible unless I had it shipped in from out of state.

As for suspension work, F/R Stillen anti-sway bar. I am saving money for a stiffer front coilovers and rear shocks. If it was a 4X2, I would work on getting it lowered. Also done, aftermarket wheels and tire upgrade along with Stillen Big Brake package. Limited budget, I plan for small summer projects that I can afford on my own.

The link to the Dodge performance V-10 truck, listed above, has the beefed up suspension, tire/brake package, and lowered stance since it is a 4X2. Overall, it did out perform me, but not by much.

Most of all, I learn as I go and being a member of the car club, it gives me some ideas to try out. Eau Claire

Nice looking fast black Titan. Heck why not race um? The Titan is very sure footed for a truck.
