Industry Sales info for September 2006 Today in an Associated Press article by Tom Krisher he discusses the "800-pound gorilla that nobody can stop." He is referring to Toyota, of course. Here are the Top Ten selling autos for September 2006 compared to Sept 2005:
1. Ford F-150 +1.7%
2. Chev Silverado Pickup +8.1%
3. Toyota Camry +3.9%
4. Toyota Corolla +9.6%
5. Honda Accord -18.1%
6. Honda Civic -12.%
7. Dodge Ram Pickup -29.4%
8. Ford Taurus +64.1%
9. Chevrolet Impala +0.8%
10. Nissan Altima -25.3%
"Sales of Toyota Tundra pickup soared 74% to 12,609 units, but they were still far below the industry leading Ford F-Seris, with 70,822 units sold and the Chevrolet Silverado, with 51,964." "...Honda had good news in the truck segment, with sales rising 11.6 percent." "Nissan ...and a 2.7 percnet increase for trucks."
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Nissan Trucks are a drop in the Truck bucket when compared to Ford and Chevrolet.
