Nissan/Renault, GM alliance talks over

So GM thinks they have it figured out or were the big wigs at GM just not willing to give up control? Come to think of it it's entirely possible that it could be as simple as they just didn't want to move?

hmmm? a Ford/GM alliance? now that would be an unprecendented move of epic proportions that i just can't see happening but then who would have ever thunk that Dodge and Mercedes would be one in the same? Perhaps Nissan and Toyota should merge as well!!

Now I've seen conflicting reports. Perhaps I mis-read that with Nissan and GM no longer talking that Ford was going to talk with GM. However, today an article said that it was Ford wanting to talk with Nissan-Renault!

Does anyone have the straight scoop as to who is talking with whom?
