Could be. The VQ being phased out seems a stretch but a 5.5L Diesel would be perfect for the Titan. I still can't help wondering why the push to go to Diesel considering the added initial cost, maintenance cost and fuel cost?

Diesels would benefit those pulling heavy loads, frequently. Low rpm, high torque, early off idle pulling power. The engines would last longer.

You would have to be a person who keeps their truck for the long haul to make the initial investment pay off. Much better fuel mileage is also an advantage.

One has to ask you Squid...why did you buy a diesel in your Dodge, if you aren't sure of the advantages? Wouldn't those same answers apply to a Titan?

Diesels were popular & cheaper to drive when gas prices were high, until diesel prices skyrocketed out past Mars...

I'd like to have a diesel, I keep my cars & trucks a long time.. Although, I don't think I have a use for any really heavy duty truck, my Titan is more then enough for what I need.... I do want a Super Duty really bad !!
