Titan Heavy Duty?

Whist drinking my Sunday coffee, over at Pickuptrucks.com that Nissan will be offering a commercial van. It says that the frame is likely to spawn a Heavy Duty version of the Titan. I know, I know, we've all heard the rumors before. But, here's to hope!

I believe it to be a good possibility. For several years now Nissan Corp. talked about commercial trucks. My service Manager mentioned to me a year or so ago that Nissan Corp. had been to their service bays to check out the capacity of the alignment rack as well as height and turn radii. He said they were testing to see if the dealership could handle commercial trucks.

Lets hope so. Not so much because I need a HD truck. But it might boost sales of Titans and improve the breed.

Are they referring to a heavy duty version of a 1500 series or a real 2500 series vehicle?

They didn't say, but I would guess that if a new pickup series is launched it will be a true 3/4 ton heavy duty. Anything less wouldn't make sense. Then again, given Nissan's track record for decisions on the Titan...............................

Maybe a 3/4 ton with a new or updated body design. Personally I like the current body, but to keep up they have to change.

I agree.

I love the Titan the way it is but, a 3/4 ton & 1 ton version would be great adding to the diversity of Titan. Plus, freshening up Titan inside & out would be great too !!

When you look at that photo of the van, you can sure see the Titan linage.

Interesting comments about frame rail spacing and dual wheels.
