LOL, I had a Frontier and in case you haven't noticed my next truck will probably be a dump truck(Or UPS) since I went from the Frontier to the Titan to the Dodge 3500.

I agree with you guys, its Nissan's fault for deserting the Titan shortly after it hit the road. Plus, I see very, very few Armadas and plenty of Titans on our AZ roads. I'm glad I have low mileage on my truck, it'll be easier to keep her around a long time.

I came across some interesting news on the 2010 Titan, none of it good, but worth the look.

Over at Pickup Trucks.Com, I just read that Nissan is planning on continuing production of the Titan, with or without Chrysler. According to the article, design work is nearly complete and Nissan is going to have the vehicle built, and is capable of doing it themselves

Well Ol'Coot, that is welcome news. Now if they fully support it and not just "A Wing and a Prayer!"

Very True. It probably wouldn't hurt if they expanded the model line and engine options a little as well..............

Principally I see the need for a diesel option. Does a 1/2T truck need a bigger engine? I don't see the need.

Second would be 3/4T chassis and appropriate diesel. This would be the real competition class for the Fords and other OEMs.

In the motorhome industry, the Sprinter Chassis uses a Mercedes V6 diesel that produces 154HP and ???torque. At any rate it is sufficient to get 12,000lbs up and running down the road. At 15+ mpg. Imagine how it would do in a 5,000lb pick-me-up???

Options are there, $$$$ will be the guiding issue for many years to come I think.

I'd like to see them keep the present engine, but add a diesel and a lower size, (read cheaper, less power), alternative. Somebody mentioned a standard cab as well. Works for me
