The Nissan/chrysler deal has been called off. Over at pickup trucks.com they are reporting that the two cars that Nissan was going to provide for Chrysler and the new Titan that Chrysler was going to provide for Nissan is history. However Nissan will still sell Chrysler its JATCO automatic transmissions. However Nissan is still planning on making the Titan.

While I like my transmission, I have to ask: Is it really that much better than what Chrysler produces? Just curious as I've no experience at all with Chrysler products.

historically, chrysler transmissions have been horrendous! the transmission problems i had in my dog dakota nearly got me killed in an intersection as it decided to go kaput as i was trying to cross thru and oncoming traffic was coming fast. luckily it kicked back in just in time to make it thru. my friend has a 2008 Chrysler 300c and its already been in for none other than transmission problems.
