In a recent comparison of pickups, guess who won? Again? Again?

Hey Ol'Coot-

It was a cool read and great to revisit but I remember reading it almost a year ago.

Wish more magazines or TV ads would tout this mighty truck more! I bet Condoomer Reports will give it a crappy rating again this year too.

Pretty cool, I never saw that before and it even had the Tundra in the fray.

I also had to have new rotors put in my 05 under warranty, and that was the last problem we've had. But I knew about the issue when I bought it. To go further, the 05 is a work truck, hauling and towing every day. So far, the 08 is absolutely trouble free.

OOPS, I lied. The right front seat frame anchor bolt came loose about 6 months after I bought it. It required a very technical repair. I got some Lok-Tite and a 14 mm combination wrench. Took out bolt, applied Lok-Tite, reinstalled bolt, applied maximum torque using wrench. Problem banished never to have reappeared.

I know that no magazine nor reporter is always faultless. I do find the ratings on the Titan in the CR magazine to be out-of-date and incorrect with respect to current models. Having said that, I still find it to a valuable source of information I consult in purchase matters. I just use it as one source of info. If I find it to be the minority in a group of opinions, then I toss it out just as I do other sources of info when I make decisions.

Despite the rave reviews we know the Titan is due, we also know Nissan plans to kill the truck by having Dodge build them. Then, I'm sure CR will get the correct info on their magazines and it will be too late for Nissan Titans.
