i find that hard to believe now with the rebates and 0% financing being thrown at potential buyers of titans and tundras and other makes of gasoline trucks. even look at Chevy outfitting their 2500 HD Silverados with huge litered V8s. and it ain't like we're waiting for the cost of diesel to go down because of heating costs here. diesel may initially be cheaper to make but to make an ultra-low sulphur diesel may have processing costs that push its costs well above the selling price of premium fuel. and as udm pointed out, one has to ask, do i really need that 6500 dollar option?

Sorry to disappoint you but when I bought my truck it was around the same price as a Titan or Tundra (With the tank of Diesel they threw in it was over $200 cheaper then the best price I could get on a 4x4 long bed Tundra and diesel was also $.10 cheaper a gallon then regular.

You need to remember there are 49 other states in North America.

I think this may be the biggest problem with the big three and that's there are just way too many dealerships in a small area. There is only one Nissan and one Toyota Dealership within 50 miles of me in any direction but Wichita (A very small city) has 2 Dodge, 4 Ford and 4 Chevy dealerships. That means that within 50 miles of me there are a total of 10 Dodge dealerships and close to 20 Ford and Chevy each. This can't be good for profits when you have all these dealerships under cutting each other, especially in a market already hurting from the price of gas.

In my humble opinion, the Big 3 are suffering due to several problems. One of which is the price of gas/fuel. Second is their perceived lack of quality in their products, (Not the Cummins). Third, at least to me, is the arrogance they have displayed toward their customers over the years. Anybody remember warranty claims arguments/wars, where, in order to get some simple thing repaired, you had to call the district claims manager? That type of stuff can't help.................

I got a ton off of the Titan because there are not many Nissan dealers and no one was buying the Titan. You must have stolen that monster Dodge Squid, there is some poor salesman who didn't feed his kids that month.
