There's no need to lower the price of gas ..... we (oil industry) have well documented the fact that the American public will readily pay $3.50 a gallon ..... with a suprizingly smaller amount of crying and whining than what we (oil industry) expected.....we (oil industry) have employed some of the smartest people in the whole wide World who are laying awake at night right as we speak figuerin' out how to squeeze every last penny from the gasoline buying publics pockets......soooooo, stop all this belly-ache-in' and hybrid talk and get over to that gas station and fill up that Titan ...... and make it PREMIUM !!!!

I gotta agree with youu 100%!
They are more common than Titans around here..and there's a lot of Titans here!!
I got to drive one and it was fun!!.....Reports from owners are all 40-50 MPG with the AC on.......for $20K it's been a win win choice!

The hybrid manufacturers are missing the boat. All of them to date, have concentrated on smaller cars. What they need to produce is a large 4-door sedan that is a hybrid.

Then, have each state pass a law to MANDATE that all Taxi's are hybrids. That makes more sense as taxis are used in stop-an-go traffic, in the inner city streets, etc. And, oddly enough, that is the type of driving that makes the most of the hybrid technology.

This would cut down on emissions, cut down of gas usage, and provide a huge test fleet to further improve the technology. Then grow the technology and expand it to the bus market. Win-Win!

Remember that low gas prices can cause shortages. With prices above a certain point there will be more than enough for our Titans.

Also, instead of, (almost), everyone complaining about oil companies' record profits, maybe it might be good to just buy some of their stock. Ownership has it's benefits.
