Taigadog and the kids are doing great, thank you for asking. This week she is in Colorado for a conference. She just about burnt down with the heat you folks have had in Kansas....She is not used to that type of prolonged heat. Taigadog came to visit Oregon in June, where she received her diploma from O State. You can call her TaigaDog Phd. now. I will show her to the site when I next talk to her.

TaigaDog here! I've been really busy in the lab the past couple of months. Just got back from a conference in Estes Park, Colorado last night. Managed to get in some flyfishing... it was awesome! I miss living in Colorado. ORTitan sent me the link to the new forum tonight... looks great so far!

Great to hear from you Doc! I figured you were just real busy but then again with the horrible heat we had this year it was a definite possibility you may have dried up and blown away. I had a heck of a time keeping my new trees alive. Out of 23 I had planted last fall and this spring I only lost 4 willows but it was a heck of a fight and watering was all I did.

The ponds and streams are all dried up around here so I bought a small plastic wading pool and placed it in the stream bed and kept it filled for the wild life along with some feed. From the look of the tracks around it it got a lot of traffic at night so I guess it did some good.

Geez! It was hotter here than in Tucson where the folks live. I was tempted to go down there to cool off! I stuck it out, even with all the heat and humidity. Planted a few flowers in the backyard and was watering every night. Didn't lose any but they didn't look very happy.

Glad you guys are still around. Was worried when I checked out NTF last night and it seemed dead. The new site looks great!
