Hello All
I just sealed a deal on an 04 4X4 Crew cab SE Black Titan with 65k miles for $12,900. Can't wait for all the inspections and tags to get processed.

Any one have any advice for me to keep an eye on for a used 04 model?

Do you think my deal was good or bad?

for sure check with the dealer if it has had the Brake Upgrade which was done to '04 and '05 models. Those first Titans had poor rotors and pads.

Other then that you should be good to go. The Queen and I have 115,000 miles on our 04 4X4 and couldn't be happier. Our truck also wasn't babied so enjoy the ride!

Is the brake upgrade a recall or TSB? Do you think a dealer would do it now if it was not done before and the truck is "new to me"?

If you don't feel a shudder when you step on the brakes don't worry about it. I never did get the shudder/Judder.

Ask a dealer to run the "VIN" on your truck to see if the TSB/Extended warranty applies to your truck.

I'd like to thank you all for the input again.

I am used to other forums where if you ask a question you get busted for not searching. HAHA

Anyways, I am sure that I'll do my own research in due time...hopefully I don't "mod" the Titan as much as my Z. Not sure if I can support two money pits. And I'd like to keep the wife a bit longer.
