Rear Window Screen

I guess this is an ok area to post this
Well on Friday me and a buddy made screens for the rear power windows on our titans because we were tiered of all the leaves that keep flying in to the truck. We saw a write up for it on Titan Talk a while back and finally got around to doing it. I was really simple and has worked out really well over the last few day. Ill try to get some pics of it installed here sometime soon. I didnt take an pics during the build but if you have ever done a screen for your house windows then you already know what to do. Ill list what you need though for anyone interested in it. So I went to Home Depot and bout a 60" screen package that included 60" of screen frame, 4 screen frame corners (black), and a screen splint as well. Then I bought a roll of charcoal/black screen I think it cost $12 for the screen package and $5 for the screen itself. Since we made two we had to buy a pack of 4 more corners as well. the tools you need are some sort of saw for cutting the screen frame, a screen tool, scissors, and a blade. To build the screen you need to cut 2 pieces of the frame @ 12" and 2 pieces of the frame @ 28.5". next you put the frame together and then I rolled out the screen over the frame leaving some over hang on all sides of the frame. Next you have to use the screen tool to roll in the splint around the frame groove while keeping the screen fairly taunt so that you get a nice smooth screen. Then trim off the excess screen and you are ready to put it in the truck. The screen goes on the inside of the rear power window the measurements make the screen fit tight and just about even with the outer frame of the window. I added Velcro to the 4 corners of the screen frame just to make sure that it was in there tight and wouldnt move. I didnt put this a write up because I didnt take any pic of the build but I thought I would share it with ya'll. Hope everyone has a good week and ill try to get some pics up soon. If anyone has any questions then just ask on here or shoot me a messages and ill do my best to answer you back quickly and hopefully with the info you were looking for

An original idea !! Good deal ! Looks great !!

I use to enjoy having my ranch window on my other pickups with shorter smaller cabs. However, the ranch window in my Titan almost never gets opened because I can't reach it from the front seat and I'm to lazy to open it before driving it, only having to get in back again to close it when I park the truck somewhere.
