Want new Stereo Head unit

Hi, I'm looking for suggestions for a replacement head unit for my Rockford Fosgate stereo & CD.

I want it to have MP3 and iPod inputs, with steering wheel controls/adapter and possibly with a USB input for a thumb drive. HD radio would be a plus. GPS isn't wanted or needed nor are CD or DVD players.

I'd like good sound and possibly the ability to hook up to the R-F amplifier. I may replace the speakers at a later date.

Your help is appreciated.

Red

Sorry Red, can't help you there, I'm not a big stereo person.

I think you're going to have a hard time finding one without GPS, CD and or DVD but I shall see.

Also you didn't put a price range in.

Sorry, I'm still cheap, so I'm looking in the $500 range.

AS long as my stereo still works I probably won't change it out. It has crossed my mind to add an external cassette or cd player which could mount anywhere in the cab...

Can you get cassette players anymore?? I don't have much luck with cd drives working very long before they go on the fritz...

Actually, you would be better served by using an MP3 player or one of the iPODS. Plug in via the AUX port.
