My 6 CD changer, is making funny noises, yet still plays okay. With iPods and MP3 players out there, I see little need to carry around a bunch of CDs. I don't download music, rather, I burn CDs I own. So I don't see another CD changer in my future.

I have been looking at some head units too but I would really like a double din head unit but crutchfeilds says there is not that will fit. we will have to see about that though. There are some really nice single dins out there though. I want to ipod hook up because all my CDs can be put on one and I dont have to worry about them getting scratched up from use and just being carried around

Yeah, my CD is starting to make odd noises. If I do replace it, it won't have a CD or for that matter a DVD unit. I've thought about having a GPS, but with the cost of upgrades, I think having a portable GPS makes more sense.

About GPS, are there any additional perks from having a GPS built into the head unit other than direction finding?
