getting to A/C components

i took my truck to get diagnosed and found out that my "heater assembly" needs replaced.. it's the box with flaps that direct air to the different vents.. basically all the vents in mine are shut so barely any air comes out of the vents which suck living in Las Vegas!! does anyone have experience or knowledge and getting to some of the main A/C components like that? do i need to take off the whole dashboard or is it something i can get to from under the dash? any help would be great!

sorry been busy for a while... so basically to get to anything on there, i have to take off the ENTIRE A/C system??? that blows bad!!! ok so i have another question-- does anyone know what part opens/closes the different vents when you change vents from the dial? like what is the part called?? i was told by the dealership it was the "heater assembly" but can't find anything for the part number they gave me.... also, they told me they couldn't find the part anywhere so they couldn't fix my truck!!! i think the dealership is a little sketchy.. and it was a NISSAN DEALERSHIP!!! any help would be great!!
