The only cause of sticking CDs I have heard about comes from home-burned CDs that have paper labels. The labels come off and stick up the works.

Check around on the "For Sale" areas, as many Titan owners have replaced the factory head unit for an after market unit.

Here are a few things to try.

Quote:
Figure out what fuse controls the CD player and, with no key in the ignition, pull the fuse out for a minute (or more - I've seen TSBs that say leave the fuse out for 10 minutes), then replace it (theory being that the fuse acts as a reset button). If you cannot find the fuse, you can disconnect the negative battery cable, but you'll lose your radio presets and other settings.

Turn your ignition on to the accessory position. Hold the eject button down for 2 or 3 minutes. Release the button and immediately press it again (theory being that the two minutes of "work" followed by a quick break will fool the player into releasing the disc when you press the eject button again).

On some brands, pressing the load and eject button at the same time will cycle the changer and eject a stuck disk.
Since we are Ipod people now I've never had a stuck CD in our Titan but these are things that have worked in the past for me with other changers.

The dealer told me the same thing but I was running burned cd all the time in my changer and never had a problem. My maxima went down once but since has never had that problem again.

I still have my non rf 6 disc changer let me know if you want it.

all but 1 of my CDs in RF 6 disc changer is burned, never had a problem with mine. my display glass is messed up, looks like gases are swirling in the plastic but they are still and makes it hard to see the digital readings. nonetheless its been a good radio for what it is, but its days are numbered as i plan for a new Pioneer in-dash DVD deck soon.

""home-burned CDs that have paper labels. The labels come off and stick up the works.""

It isn't the fact you are using a home-burned CD that is the cause. Its the Label I was talking about. If you use a marking pen, it won't come off, nor is the content the problem.

Good luck on your problem, whatever the cause.
