All of you do interior mods to your 2004 to 2008 nissan Titan may want to read this.

Modifications to and/or tampering of any kind with Supplemental Side Air Bags and/or Nissan Advanced Air Bag System could affect the deployment or performance of the air bag system and could result in serious personal injury.

• Adding or changing trim materials from the factory equipped condition (i.e., replacing the seat trim with non-factory materials; adding leather/cloth seat covers, seat pads, or seat storage pouches, etc.) around or over the side air bag system and/or on the passenger seat cushion.
The components of the above air bag systems include:

Dealers should refer customers to their vehicle Owner’s Manual for more information about Supplemental Side Air Bag System and Nissan Advanced Air Bag System.

As a guess, I'd say the Legal Language in all the Titan literature outweighs the technical information 2 : 1!

Mini-Rant on:

As a side note, the previous post from Squid about the renaming of the Tire Pressure Sensors. From Tire Pressure Control System to Tire pressure WARNING system. Wouldn't want some uninformed person to thing that Nissan had you covered and controlled tire pressure. Nissan only WARNS you. Of course the system was never designed to control pressure, you and I know that. But the Court of Law doesn't allow us to thing for ourselves, we need some lawyer to do that for us....

Mini-Rant off
