Although I dislike leather upholstery, the lovely Mrs.B requires it and I've been to sole oversee'r of her leather upholstery for 22 years now ..... I've found that a large bottle of Suave unscented hand lotion that sells for about $2 bucks is the best conditioner to use .... coat all leather thickly .... caress it in with your bare hands leaving it thick and heavy overnight and wipe it down with a towel the next morning .....

I thought about that with my Lincoln.
Im gonna try it before I give up on the old leather.

..... pick up a bottle of babyoil and coat down the old leather several days in a row before using hand lotion ..... I succssessfully brought out some softness in some crappy old leather in a '77 Chrysler Cordoba that I aquired years ago ..... treat leather just like you would treat your own skin ....
