From 1958 to 1962. Did 7th, 8th and 9th grades there. Loved to climb the small mountain behind the Army Base where we lived, Henry Barracks, in the town of Cayey. Dad was installing an Army communications base in Salinas and Ponce.
I loved that place and remember swimming with my friends on Christmas Day in the base pool. So many beautiful places there and things to see and provide great memories. Funny, I remember them burning the cane to chase out the rats and mongoose (pl). What taste I really remember is truly tree ripened bananas and oranges!!
