You're right Red. Altho' the Skywalk wasn't there then, about 20 years ago I hiked the canyon using Bright Angel Trail all the way down to the river and back. It was, as you say marvelous. I'll never forget it. (The hike up and down the canyon almost killed me LOL, but it was worth every ache and pain)

In my most fit years a teen I wouldn't have attempted the canyon hike. I hate exercise that much.

Yeah, real stylish. They are concerned that the sand on the shoes will scuff the glass and force more frequent replacement. They did design the glass floor so the upper layer could be replaced as needed to correct for wear.

They won't let you take your own camera or any kind of bag onto the walk. They say they are trying to preserve the eco system from dropped cameras etc. We can all guess the real reason as you are forced to buy photos from them. $$

I've been up to the Four Corners region for my job many times and haven't taken time to see the Anasazi ruins. I am looking forward to doing just that.
