Nissan Titan 90,000 Mile Club

I almost forgot to announce that I went over 90,000 miles yesterday. I wish I had a lot to say but the truth is I don't. I get in it every day, drive 100 miles or so and then I park it. It's still only been to the dealership once and that was the first week I owned it for a couple of TSB's and the seatbelt recall. I've put on one set of tires, an alignment and upgraded the front brake pads and rotors at the 60,000 mile mark and headlights at 89,000.
I've been running extended oil drains (Between 9 and 13 thousand miles)with the Mobil 1 extended 5W30 oil and a reusable oil filter per my oil analysis results.

What can I say. I'm planning on getting another Titan this winter and upgrading the suspension on this one in the spring of 2008. Great trucks!

100,000 miles in about 3 months.

Congrats! Mine has only been in for TSB's (bhrakes, harness) and a window that fell off the track a month after I bought it, but I only have 28k miles.

Congratulations! This is the kind of news, that a lot of people would like to hear. Nothing melodramatic, just a truck doing its job day in and day out with no problems. You can't buy better advertising. Perhaps you should post this on the site's home page. Maybe start a poll or section for higher mileage trucks.......

who gives a rat's pa-tooty what happens, that's what warranties are for! this is Nissan's first run at a big truck. sure, i've had problems, some i've dealt with and others i've had to take it in for, but i love it nonetheless! so all you Titan owners jumping ship, don't jump off just yet, let me kick you off!

congrats on the milestone sQuiggly, when you getting the CST lift put on that black truck of yours?

Thumbs up Congrats on the 90K mark squid...

Glad to hear your Titan is still going great for you!! You are going to be able to gain some more ground on me as I am stuck @ just greater than 86K miles. My and my Titan were involved in a freak accident Sunday 2/11 on I-35W Northbound. There was a disabled Lincoln half on the left shoulder/half in the fast lane. I moved out of the fast lane around it and then moved back into the fast lane to accelerate back up to speed. Out of the darkness appears a rolling tire/wheel rolling in the middle of my lane only about 40mph slower than me. There was nothing to do but hit the brakes - I hit it just left of center and rolled OVER the SOB - it exited just in front of my L rear wheel. The Titan handled it pretty well all things considered - I was able to continue on to work and then drive it to the dealer the next AM before it overheated. No loss of oil pressure or engine damage. No exhaust system damage. Busted front lower bumper, busted radiator, bent radiator mounts, bent LR fender where the wheel/tire came out. Sorry no pics but, I did not have the digicam with me.

Thanks BOOTski, my commute is 54 miles each way - contributing to my 30K per year!!

Thanks Ryan, is was a little hairy - you know you are going to hit it and your first thought is "This is not going to be good"!! I am glad I was in the Titan vs. a car - the tire/wheel probably would have gone up and over!

Sorry about the damage Tex but it's probably a good thing you were in the truck and not some itty bitty car. Can you imagine what a tire would do if I hit it in the Vette at 70 MPH???????????Goodbye Squid!
